GENERAL INFORMATION – Attendees are highly encouraged to arrive in Miami on Saturday, November 8th and stay overnight at the Marriott Miami Airport Hotel. Trying to arrive in Miami on the 9th, get around, arrive at the Port of Miami, unload, go through security, check in and get aboard would be really pushing it as no one is allowed to board after 3:00pm. In addition, you don’t want to arrive too much before Noon as you probably won’t be able to board and there’s not much to do or see around the terminals and seating is minimal.

HOTEL – Attendees must make their own hotel reservations for the night of November 8th by calling either number above. Cruise Holidays has arranged a special room rate of $132 (plus tax). Make sure you tell them you are with “Cruise Holidays/USS Oklahoma City” to get this special rate. Included are complimentary airport shuttle and parking for the duration of the cruise. NOTE: You must stay one night at the hotel to receive hotel parking privileges during the cruise. ADA needs must be made known at time of making reservations. Check in at 3:00pm, check out at Noon. The cost of the hotel is in addition to the cost of the cruise.

DIRECTIONS TO HOTEL – From Dolphin Expressway (836) east or west, exit at NW 42nd Ave (Rte 953), go south under Dolphin Expressway approximately ¼ mile.

DIRECTIONS TO THE PORT OF MIAMI - Take I-95 north or south to I-395. Follow the directional signs to the Biscayne Boulevard exit. When you get to Biscayne Boulevard, make a right and go to 5th street which converts to Port Boulevard (landmark: American Airlines Basketball arena). Make a left, go over the bridge and follow the directional signs to the designated terminal.

OTHER PARKING - Parking is also available at the Port of Miami for $20 per day. Please refer to the Port of Miami web page at www.miamidade.gov/portofmiami/directions_parking.asp for additional parking information and methods of payment.

SHUTTLE SERVICE – Cruise Holidays has arranged shuttle service for us from the hotel Sunday morning the 9th to the Port of Miami at a cost of less than $10 per person. This is in addition to the cost of the cruise.

TAXI SERVICE –Taxi service to and from the airport and the Port of Miami is advertised as $24 one way. Taxi service to and from the hotel and the Port of Miami should be close to the airport cost. This too is in addition to the cost of the cruise.
